  8th January, 1999

   A four feet Bronze statue (bust) of  Swami Vivekananda, on a four feet pedastal,  with a beautiful canopy over it,  was unveiled, at the Ashrama premises, by Rev. Swami Gautamanandaji, President, Ramakrishna Math, Chennai & Trustee, Ramakrishna Math & Mission.  Rev. Swami Atmaramanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore,  & Trustee, Ramakrishna Math & Mission, was also present and addressed the public meeting.  More than 500 devotees, friends and admirers attended the function.

13th June, 1999
    One-day Spiritual Retreat was held for the devotees.  Four lectures (one each by Swamis Purnakamanandaji, Jitakamanandaji, Muktipadanandaji, and Anupamanandaji), Bhajans, Meditation etc. were part of the programme.  Around 250 devotees attended the day-long programme.
