Sri Ramakrishna (1836-1886)

Ramakrishna Order stands.

Principle disciple of Sri
Ramakrishna and the founder of the Order, he successfully spread the message
of his Master all over the world.
His message: "Religion is the manifestation
of the divinity already in man." |
The Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore was started in 1947,
thanks to the efforts Rao Bahadur Dr. M Keshav Pai
and other devoted friends. Since there was a persistant demand to open
a branch of the Ramakrishna Mission also, the present
site on the Mangaladevi Road,
was acquired in 1951 through a gift from Hindu Seva Sangha with the help of Sri
M Venkatesh Pai, who was then the Hon. Secretary of the Sangha
and the donor of the land and building.
Presently Monk-in-charge is Swami Purnakamanandaji. He is being assisted by Swamis Jitakamanandaji, Muktipadanandaji, Anupamanandaji and Mangalatmanandaji.
